For A Pluralistic, Inclusive National Day of Prayer

Join a nationwide network of activists through INCLUSIVEPRAYERDAY.ORG to call for an inclusive National Day of Prayer.

The National Day of Prayer falls on May 1st this year, and in most parts of the country, there is a religious “litmus test” limiting participation to fundamentalist Christian evangelicals. Focus on the Family, the largest organization on the Christian Right, and groups allied with it control the occasion, calling themselves the National Day of Prayer Task Force and asserting that their website is the “National Day of Prayer Official Website.” Let’s unite with followers of other faiths to transform this event into a pluralistic, interfaith celebration of the power of prayer for all people!
